About Us
In 2023 we will be holding our 48th annual East West Billfish Tournament. This tournament was started many years ago by a few of the "old timers".
Our local charter fleets work incredibly hard and found this as a way to add a little friendly competition into doing what they love. Each year a team captain is appointed and after studying up on stats from the years prior they hand select their teams who then battle it out all year long to see if the "East Side" or "West Side" will come out on top.
At the end of the year a banquet is held for the contestants where a few other incredible prestigious awards are given, including Captain and Mate of the Year, Most Billfish & Most Blue Marlin out of Oregon Inlet.
The Rules
May 1st-September 30th

Each boat must report daily how many billfish they have caught by 2:30 pm

White Marlin & Sailfish: 1 point per fish

Blue Marlin: 2 points per fish
-
Team captains tally points of their teams daily, whichever team has more points wins the day.

Whichever team wins the most days is the champion of the tournament
